COLORBANDZ
2011
Colorbandz is an experiment in the distillation of identity - capturing the essence of personality with as little figuration as possible, to graphically represent the visage with none of the traditional clues. They're Atari-like, minimalist portraits - reduced even from pixels into bands of color. They're about motion, they're about our hectic modern lives, they're about the fast pace we all have had to run to catch up with, and, like much of my work, they are about recognition. Think of Colorbandz as portraiture at the speed of technology.
